Vanessa comes to D&P following years working on Federal policy in the United States Senate. She most recently served in the Office of Senator Jon Ossoff, where she staffed the Senator’s seat on the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee, particularly focusing on immigration issues. She joined Senator Ossoff’s office after spending several years working for her home state Senator and the first Latina ever elected to the U.S. Senate, Catherine Cortez Masto. Before making her way to Washington, D.C. and Capitol Hill, Vanessa spent time with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office as well as the Pennsylvania Democratic Party during the 2016 election cycle.
As an Associate with D&P, Vanessa is thrilled to bring her Hill background and policy expertise to the firm and its many partners.
Born in Los Angeles but raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Vanessa graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her rescue pup, Buster, and cheering on the L.A. Dodgers relentlessly.
